From the recording I Feel Your Eyes On Me
I've noticed in my own life and watching strangers live their lives that we don't talk openly with one another so much anymore. Many conversations are driven by assumptions which tend to stifle the open exchange of feelings and thoughts from the very beginning.
This song is about two people who love each other dearly and still struggle to communicate. Stuck in a pattern trying to read each other’s minds instead of asking open ended questions.
“I Feel Your Eyes On Me” was partially inspired by a t-shirt I gifted to my partner with the words "Don't assume anything" written on it. I gave it to her after having witnessed strangers and acquaintances asking her dumb questions in public. And after having asked her some dumb questions in private myself. She enjoys wearing the t-shirt.

Lyrics
I’m looking at you
trying to read your mind
I don’t want ask
what’s up with you
I should know by now
You don’t want to talk
You don’t want to talk to me about it
You don’t want to talk
You don’t want to talk to me about it
I feel your eyes on me
trying to read my mind
when you could just ask
how’s it going, how’s my life
don’t just assume
I don’t wanna talk
Because I do want to talk about it
Don’t just assume
I don’t want to talk to you about it
If I cant have your thoughts,
Can I hold your hand?
I’ll squeeze it tight,
Maybe you’ll understand
There’s a lot of love that I want to express
And I hope that you’ll never ever
Forget
Forget
